The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
