The assault resulted in the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
